The short version
The Powell Play app has no ads, no advertising ID and no third-party analytics or tracking. You can play without an account. If you choose to sign in with a Powell Play ID, we keep your username and the email or passkey you sign in with, so the same name and progress follow you across our games.
What the app itself handles
- On your phone only: your favourite games, recently played games and settings (such as haptics). You can clear them in Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
- The game list: the app downloads the current list of games from powellplay.com. Like any website, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, device and browser type, time of request) for security and reliability, for a limited time.
- No payments: nothing can be bought in the Powell Play app.
- No device access: the app does not use your camera, microphone, contacts, location or files.
Your Powell Play ID (optional)
- What we keep: your username, your email address if you sign in with an emailed code, the public half of any passkey you create (never your fingerprint, face or device PIN, which stay on your device), which Powell Play games you've signed in to, and when.
- How it's used: to sign you in, show your username in our games, and keep your progress and purchases with you. We send email only to deliver sign-in codes.
- Sharing: when you open a game, it receives your Powell Play ID and username so it can recognise you. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
- Security: the app keeps your sign-in encrypted with your phone's secure key storage. Games get a short-lived pass made only for them.
- Deleting it: sign in at id.powellplay.com/account and choose Delete my account. Your account, username, passkeys and sign-ins are removed straight away.
The games you play
Each game in Powell Play runs inside the app from its own website, and is also published by Powell Lines LLC. When you play, that game handles your gameplay data (for example a player name, scores and progress) under its own privacy policy:
In the app, games run in a free-to-play mode: their stores, ads, email sign-in and outside links are switched off.
Deleting your data
Clear the app's own history in Settings. Delete your Powell Play ID at id.powellplay.com/account. To delete your data in a game, use the "Delete my data" link for that game in Settings, or powellplay.com/delete-data.
Children
The Powell Play app is made for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13.
